Month Update

Month Update:
Wow I have been here already a month. Time really did fly fast. This past weekend I went to Saarland (SaarLouis) it was fun. Met an exchange student from Seattle. It was good times.
I am back in Dieburg mostly though I am going with my Aunt to her English hours with her; it’s alright. My weekend in Biblis was alright. It was just a little stressful but it was nice seeing my Grandma again.

My Birthday was alright; the way things work here in Germany on Birthdays is totally different. Apparently normally if I lived in Germany and wanted my Quarter Centuryth Birthday to be special I’d invite all my friends spend heaps of money and it would be good. It wasn’t a bad day but I reckon from emails I got it would have been a different Birthday if I had celebrated in Canada.

As far as up coming weeks; I was thinking about going to Berlin , Hannover Koeln, and Dresden Muenchen too; on the 23rd or so; but plans may change a little. While in Saarland I also got shown this cool idea; I can spend a day in Paris. You get the bus trip to Paris and from here it’s like 3 hr drive but in 10 min drive your in France. Saarland is right at the border. Anyways There is for like 35 Euro’s a bus trip there; and back, a round trip tour to the big “gotta see” areas and then you have free time you can purchase the local transit day car; and sort of crews around Paris alone for a little while. Well I may go with the Exchange student and another girl who is trying to learn some English; she actually wants to do an exchange student program next year for a year in the USA. So that should be neat.

I am enjoying my time here; though I do get home sick at times. Home sick to Ottawa I am excited to be back in Ottawa. Weather wise has been up and down sunny; snowey cloudy, and so on.

That is all <3

Update

Hallo from Dieburg.
I got here Monday. Five hr train ride from Hamburg. It was fun, exciting. In Hannover I saw this tall type building with a VW Logo on it, was real cool. That is where ZOP apparently is or something.
Now I am just sort of hanging out. Yesterday my aunt already had 2 younger boys over they are in the 5th grade, and they just come to talk. It was fun. Then we made Shrinkie dings. Those are awesome, I had never heard of them before. You create some sort of a picture or item like soccer ball football, drangon whatever you wish, and it starts off pretty big, or regular size you trace it on to some plastic paper, shove it in the oven for a minute, and they shrink right before your eyes it was pretty amazing actually. At least I thought so.
A friend of my Aunts has 2 boys around 23 /24 and they play American Football. so I will be able to go watch a game that too should be rather exciting.
Friday I am taking the public transit system again to go to Biblis where my Grandma is. I am looking forward to see her.
I am not too sure what is going on my Birthday yet. I first had this idea of being in Berlin for my Birthday well that plan went south. Apprently March ish is better time to be there.
So we will see.

Side note I heard from my parents and brother who are currently in NZ they are having a great time. They could not leave a long message because the internet there cost 1 for 15 minutes. That seems rather expensive. Nice to know though they are having a blast too!

So that is all!

Today was a Shibby-tastically Stellar day

Today was a wonderful day. Hung out with my friend I've known for years. Her name is Reyhan. She is pretty awesome. Thursday I went to the University with her, yesterday we were suppose to have hung out but plans got cancelled; and today we just sort of walked around Altona a bit; then ordered Pizza and these roll thingies, and watched a Movie I'm not too sure what it translates to in English but it was called in german "Ja -Sager" " Yes sayer" with Jim Carey, about always saying yes and stuff, was a cute movie.
I also managed to make a phone call from a call centre that was pretty awesome.
I would have made a couple more if I would have had my numbers with me sadly I didn't.
Anyways.. Things are well I am happy and enjoying Germany.
Until the next time

Week 2

This past week was pretty interesting too, we went to a place called Harz in a lil town called Hasselfelde, we rented like a cottage type deal, and during the day went sledding. There was heaps of snow there. I loved it. I missed the snow as in Nanaimo there had not been all that much.

I got to see some cute snowboarders, and skiing (giggles).
I walked around Hamburg some more, got to see some more of Hamburg, it really is a nice city.

Today I am actually writting this blog from the University of Hamburg. A friend deciced to take me to her last day of classes. This is some sort of Wissenschaft, class I am not too sure however what it is in German.

Monday I will be training it to Darmstadt, and will end up in Dieburg though. There I already potentially have a job teaching kids from the 4th grade English. That should be fun I have already started working on it a little bit. Vocabulary and so forth.

So nothing else too exciting happening. I am loving it here though.

TTFN!
