Hello again from Canada.
I got in ok, the 4 hrs in Frankfurt really did not end up seeming that long as we went through custome and the line for that look maybe an hr or hr and a half. I then had a yummy white hot chocolate, from McCafe last one as they don't have McCafe's in Canada le sigh. I'm sure there are coffee drinkers here in North America to have them; but maybe that makes German McDonalds more special who knows.
I sat beside a nice German guy I had window seat, he was beside me reading some big book I don't even remember what it was but looked pretty crazy. We talked a bit too.
In Ottawa things got interesting, because Id been gone for 3 months + I only declared like 50 dollars on some gummi bears and choclates as mit bringsel, and it was unbelieve plus I had the Vancouver address so things got a little suspcious so they checked my suite case other than that.. everything was pretty ah okay.
I have yet to figure out how to Post picture on here or where I'll put the pictures but as soon as I figure it out I'll post them.
That's all for now

Last Week in Germany
Greeting once again from Hamburg, I got here a week ago Monday, for my departure from Hamburg airport on the 29th of April. I hope all flights and the situation will have been cleared in time for my departure. First week here in Hamburg was ok, Sunny and Warm. Yesterday and today however are not so much nice, well rain and today we even had some hail. yes Hail.
I have managed to see a bit here too went to another church in Memory of those who faught in the war, this church also was burnt a couple times, and such. Really it is interesting the History one can find in Germany.
This time around in Hamburg I have no actual internet access so I have been hitting up Internet Cafes hence not so much blogging. When I am back in Canada I will post pictures. I am still trying to sort through all them since Monday last week alone from Hamburg I have 300+ pics.
When I first got here there was the Spring Dom, which is alwazys fun. On the last Friday I also got to see the fireworks and all that. Lots of fun.
Anyways for now that is all.
I hope all are well.
Miss you all!

Update from Berlin
This is my third day here. I arrived on Saturday.
First night I spent with the friends who I drove up with, and am now also driving back with.
Thus far I have had a driven tour of Berlin and its interesting sights. As well as toured a little on my own. The transit system really is not that hard once you get a hang of it, but my problem is too that I cannot read a map all that well, but good enough to get by.
So today I went to the Check Point Charly that sure is crazy, all that stuff that went on and how people tried getting to the west, and all that, and how many got killed or even kids that drowed when they fell in the water because it was too risky.
Ive seen bits of the Berlin wall, a cool gal I met told me to check out Hackersmarket or something like that which was wonderful too. Restaurants and stuff all around, just a nice little area. Ive been there a few times already. I will not write too much now but I will def update this and give a little more details as to what Ive seen and all that stuff. Some how I will post pictures as well.
For now that is al.
There is a guy next to me doing farm town too funny!!!
Greetings from Berlin and I will update more when I am back in Dieburg.

Berlin update
Today I booked my hotel in Berlin. I was initally going to stay with a 92 year Mom of a cousin of my Aunts. I know maybe sounds a little bit confusing but sadly the lady I was suppose to stay with ended up going to the hospital today; so I ended up going to look for a Youth Hostles.
There is a marathon or something happening in Berlin so many were already sold out so when I found one that still had room I booked it. I'm not too sure how excited I am as it's in a room with four other beds like a Mini Dorm thing. So i'll be bunking in with others. Should be alright we'll see.
I'll let you know how it was :) I'm soo looking forward to Berlin I've already been told suggested what to see, and have my own things I wanna do. I've currently booked 4 nights; however luckly I am able to cancel the day I wanna leave up until 18:00 so that gives me time to leave if i want to or if I don't like the place to find another one :)
That is all!
I cannot sleep tonight because too much going on. I napped some today too which was bad; because that also means I cannot sleep because i'm not tired. Bummerz :)

Change of plans!
The Paris trip has been cancelled as there had not been enough people reg. for this trip. It was being done through a bus company and they got a call two nights ago that it is no longer will happen.
Therefore I have set date for Berlin. I will be heading to Berlin 3.27 until 3.31 or so. I have a chance to drive down with friends I knew from Heppenheim. My way back and accomodations I will stil lneed to find; but I get a ride there which is real good.
I may also find what's call "Mitfahrgelegenheit" or something like that for the way back. There are websites here you can go to; that have people who are driving places and you can drive with them for cheap. Train would be an option but this other option is cheaper.
So that's my latest No Paris but Berlin is set date. From there I may hit up Dresden too.
That is all

Love and miss you all

Update
Not all that much going on. The latest "exciting" adventure was going to Dortmund for a day , to check things out there spend like a day more or less there. Saw the Stadium which was cool. The hotel I stayed at was pretty shibby tastic too.
The next big thing that should/ will happen is Paris. I am really looking forward to that.
I suppose I'm still having fun. I am also home sick a lot and am really ready to be back in Ottawa.

Olympic Final
Wow!!
Today is the final day of the Olympics and as most predicted the Hockey Finale is between Canada and the USA. I will be watching it, and I cannot wait. Afterwards hopefully get to see the Closing Ceremonies as well.

Month Update
Month Update:
Wow I have been here already a month. Time really did fly fast. This past weekend I went to Saarland (SaarLouis) it was fun. Met an exchange student from Seattle. It was good times.
I am back in Dieburg mostly though I am going with my Aunt to her English hours with her; it’s alright. My weekend in Biblis was alright. It was just a little stressful but it was nice seeing my Grandma again.
My Birthday was alright; the way things work here in Germany on Birthdays is totally different. Apparently normally if I lived in Germany and wanted my Quarter Centuryth Birthday to be special I’d invite all my friends spend heaps of money and it would be good. It wasn’t a bad day but I reckon from emails I got it would have been a different Birthday if I had celebrated in Canada.
As far as up coming weeks; I was thinking about going to Berlin , Hannover Koeln, and Dresden Muenchen too; on the 23rd or so; but plans may change a little. While in Saarland I also got shown this cool idea; I can spend a day in Paris. You get the bus trip to Paris and from here it’s like 3 hr drive but in 10 min drive your in France. Saarland is right at the border. Anyways There is for like 35 Euro’s a bus trip there; and back, a round trip tour to the big “gotta see” areas and then you have free time you can purchase the local transit day car; and sort of crews around Paris alone for a little while. Well I may go with the Exchange student and another girl who is trying to learn some English; she actually wants to do an exchange student program next year for a year in the USA. So that should be neat.
I am enjoying my time here; though I do get home sick at times. Home sick to Ottawa I am excited to be back in Ottawa. Weather wise has been up and down sunny; snowey cloudy, and so on.

Update
Hallo from Dieburg.
I got here Monday. Five hr train ride from Hamburg. It was fun, exciting. In Hannover I saw this tall type building with a VW Logo on it, was real cool. That is where ZOP apparently is or something.
Now I am just sort of hanging out. Yesterday my aunt already had 2 younger boys over they are in the 5th grade, and they just come to talk. It was fun. Then we made Shrinkie dings. Those are awesome, I had never heard of them before. You create some sort of a picture or item like soccer ball football, drangon whatever you wish, and it starts off pretty big, or regular size you trace it on to some plastic paper, shove it in the oven for a minute, and they shrink right before your eyes it was pretty amazing actually. At least I thought so.
A friend of my Aunts has 2 boys around 23 /24 and they play American Football. so I will be able to go watch a game that too should be rather exciting.
Friday I am taking the public transit system again to go to Biblis where my Grandma is. I am looking forward to see her.
I am not too sure what is going on my Birthday yet. I first had this idea of being in Berlin for my Birthday well that plan went south. Apprently March ish is better time to be there.
So we will see.
Side note I heard from my parents and brother who are currently in NZ they are having a great time. They could not leave a long message because the internet there cost 1 for 15 minutes. That seems rather expensive. Nice to know though they are having a blast too!
So that is all!

Today was a Shibby-tastically Stellar day
Today was a wonderful day. Hung out with my friend I've known for years. Her name is Reyhan. She is pretty awesome. Thursday I went to the University with her, yesterday we were suppose to have hung out but plans got cancelled; and today we just sort of walked around Altona a bit; then ordered Pizza and these roll thingies, and watched a Movie I'm not too sure what it translates to in English but it was called in german "Ja -Sager" " Yes sayer" with Jim Carey, about always saying yes and stuff, was a cute movie.
I also managed to make a phone call from a call centre that was pretty awesome.
I would have made a couple more if I would have had my numbers with me sadly I didn't.
Anyways.. Things are well I am happy and enjoying Germany.
Until the next time

Week 2
This past week was pretty interesting too, we went to a place called Harz in a lil town called Hasselfelde, we rented like a cottage type deal, and during the day went sledding. There was heaps of snow there. I loved it. I missed the snow as in Nanaimo there had not been all that much.
I got to see some cute snowboarders, and skiing (giggles).
I walked around Hamburg some more, got to see some more of Hamburg, it really is a nice city.
Today I am actually writting this blog from the University of Hamburg. A friend deciced to take me to her last day of classes. This is some sort of Wissenschaft, class I am not too sure however what it is in German.
Monday I will be training it to Darmstadt, and will end up in Dieburg though. There I already potentially have a job teaching kids from the 4th grade English. That should be fun I have already started working on it a little bit. Vocabulary and so forth.
So nothing else too exciting happening. I am loving it here though.

Week 1
Wow! Already a week gone. This first week has been good. I got myself ajusted and did the touristy thing. Went into the town of Hamburg with public transportation. S-bahn. I guess that could be traslated to something like a street car.
Last week I also went to the Beatlemania Museum. I wanted to go there real bad; and I went and enjoyed it. Thank goodness there was German & English written; I got more out of it being able to read the English. It was all about the Beatles and the concerts they had in the "St. Pauli" distrect. there were the Repperbahn ist also.
It is still cold; last night it was -13*C. The Alster ( the river I think) is frozen; so one can now skate on it. It's pretty neat , that sort of reminds me of Ottawa where the Rideau Canal is. It was once the largest skating suface ever in canada or maybe even the world I'm not too sure about that actually. The Alster had not been frozen in almost 10 years or so. This year all of Europe actually has not been as coild. It is a different cold than I am used to however because of the humity and such. Nevertheless I saw snow which is something I missed from Naniamo.
On Thursday we drive to Harz it is about 3 hrs away. The town/ city is actually called Hasselfeld or something like that. My aunt and her friend my cousin and his friend and myself are going, as Friday is a Holiday for the kids here in Hamburg. So we're going to Harz and will be going sledding. They rended a cottage type thing and willl be there until Sunday. I am looking forward to that.
A week later hoping maybe Thursday I will be taking the train to Dieburg; to my other Aunts place. I am looking forward to that already as well. I already have something I may end up doing there as far as "work". I will be teaching kids at the grade 4 level so maybe between 9 and 11 years old then. English. So I've been googling ESL English and trying to get a plan and get some ideas of what I can do with these kids. I'm looking forward I alrealdy have some neat ideas. I'm looking forward to this. That may be a six week or so thing. Have yet to find out; how it will work out but I reckon it will be super fun.
Other wise things are going well. I know from Dieburg we will also be going to Saarland; my Aunt knows someone there I actually met her last time I was in April. She is pretty cool So we'll go visit her. I still have to figure out when and how I will go to Berlin and stuf.. I'm sure thought it will all work out.

Just update
So now I have I have been here 3 full days, and I am just still adjusting to Germany, and all that next week I'll end up doing most of the site seeing things. I've been a little sick, well I came down with a cold so I am now fighting that so I have not felt like doing much either. Hopefully by next week I'll be my perky self and can goof around some.
It is rather cold here -5 C° and stuff, have not seen many more flurries but paths have become really slippery.
So that is all I have for this installment I will probably have more later.
Cheerio

Arrival
Greetings from Hamburg Germany.
Currently I am at my aunts, driving school, using the internet. It snowed a little today it was really nice. It actually even stayed. I have seen flurries since I came yesterday but with it being so warm it did not stay.
Travels went well. No problems at all. There is not too much really to report.
Tata for now
